Our Robot : Gary

MISSION:

Gary is the powerful little snail that captured the hearts of millions. Click on Final Competition video in the important links below to see him destroy and move the hearts of many. The cuteness and charm of Gary is just irresistable.

What can Gary do:

Here is a list of things our robot has been programmed to do. We are certained that these attributes give our Gary a status that makes it unique.

  • Mobile
  • Autonomous
  • Line following (Gary follows a white line on a black backgound)
  • Wall Detection
  • Tone Detection (660Hz)
  • Robot Detection (reading other robots IR emmission)
  • Visual treasure detection (presence, color, and shape)
  • Maze mapping
  • Radio comunication of current position
  • Keeps track of position or coordinate

Operating Conditions:

  • Not impact resistant
  • Not water resistant
  • Minimum line size: 1/4 inch
  • Maximum line size: 1 inch
  • Treasure types: Blue/red diamond, triangle, or square shapes
  • Frequency for sound detection: 660Hz
  • Wall color: white
  • line color: white. Background: gray/black
  • Cannot operate in darkness or low light intensity
